Opportunity

A supervisory intelligence layer for the region's largest electricity load

CoolGrid sits above existing plant and building management systems as an advisory layer, so operators can reduce peak load and energy use without replacing equipment. The company is pre-deployment; nothing here describes a completed installation.

Why now

Peak demand pressure

Cooling is the dominant driver of summer electricity peaks in the Gulf. Every avoided peak kilowatt defers grid and plant investment.

Reactive operation

Most plants are still run on fixed setpoints and manual judgement, with limited forward visibility of load or weather.

Ageing, uninstrumented assets

Failures surface late. Condition and risk signals already exist in the data but are rarely modelled.

Accountability for outcomes

Operators and regulators increasingly need verifiable measurement, not vendor-claimed savings.

How the thesis gets proven

Two supervised deployments turn the model into measured evidence. Both are designed, published in full, and awaiting a confirmed host site.

  1. 1

Phase 1 — a 16-week supervised proof-of-concept on a real Dubai building with a university research partner: instrumentation audit, unguided baseline, alternating guided weeks, independent measurement.

  2. 2

Phase 2 — an operational pilot across a district cooling estate with live metered savings tracking and an anonymised public estate view.
